Drilling of the wells

Drilling of the wells (5)

Drilling wells with free waters in Africa (Kenya) for people in need
We are happy to announce that the well in Maboromokoni village has been built and is already being used by the residents! For those who missed, we want to briefly recall the background: In January 2021, we visited the home of Bishop Alfred Magambo in the village of Maboromokoni (Mwangaza). Our good friend and brother in Christ. From his words, in the village of Maboromokoni, there is only one source of water for the entire large region. Water is paid and is not always available. We wanted to drill a well and provide this settlement with free and permanent water. The Bishop told us that this work would cost $1,500 (115,000 Russian rubles) for the drilling itself. Separately, it will be necessary to build a storage structure, which will cost another $ 600-800. The drilling of the well was expected to take about a week. As a result, the situation turned out to be much more complicated and everything stretched out for almost 2 months. During this time, our drilling rig broke down several times, we ran into large stones and one of the drilling teams just ran away. But still, we made a well and now we are very glad to see the fruits of our labors!

We are at the finish line!

Last week we bought a barrel for a well and designed a platform on which it will stand. The barrel has a capacity of 5000 liters, so it must have a particularly strong construction. To do this, we strengthened the foundation. To date, the task is almost completed and soon you will see the result of our work! Meanwhile, water from the well continues to be poured into canisters and it becomes more or less fresh. Plants no longer die from it and turn green, so people will now have a harvest!
However, it is not complete without adventures, and today we need another miracle. Remember the story of Elisha and the bitter water? About how an entire region suffered from a lack of potable water, and God performed a miracle? We have a very similar history. When I tasted the water, it was clear and looked just perfect, but the taste was bitter-salty. For those who think that salt water is from the ocean, then our well is very far from it and this is really strange. At the same time, local experts conducted a study of the place, and the water should have been normal. Do not rush to get upset. The workers who drilled the well said that this happens, but if you pump water, then fresh water should come out. Now I'm a little confused on how to proceed. A few days ago, I was going to install the final equipment for the extraction and storage of water, and here is such news. We need your prayers and a miracle that only God can do!

Two weeks of drilling work has passed

Written by
It is the second week since we are drilling a well in the village of Maboromokoni. We were a little late, because a large stone got under the ground, which broke the drilling machine and we were waiting for it to be repaired! Literally one of these days we have to get to the water, only a few meters remain! After that, we will begin to build a structure for raising water and storing it!

Let's start digging a well!

It's no secret that there are problems with water in Africa. Somewhere it does not exist at all, somewhere it is very expensive for the locals. Seeing this, we have been thinking for a long time that it would be good to start building wells with free water. So that everyone can collect the required number of bottles and not worry about how and where to get water for their family! And the other day we decided on a place - this is the settlement of Maboromokoni (Mwangaza), where we will drill the first well! Surprisingly, there is only 1 source of water in this large region. Water is paid and is not always available. Sometimes people go weeks without it. The harvest dies, you can’t wash yourself and it happens that there is nothing to drink. We have already found the point where the water lies and decided on the depth - 140 feet or 42 meters! Let's get to work, let's share the news!
