Art and English Classes for Children in Kenya
Children from Furunzi and Mwangaza discover their talents and learn English.
Every child has a hidden talent
About the project
Every child has unique talents, and our goal is to discover and develop them. In the children from the Furunzi slums and the village of Mwangaza there is great potential they do not even realize.
Through creativity, exploring the world and the English language, we help the children believe in themselves and discover possibilities they never dreamed of.

Creativity, the world around us and English
How the Classes Are Structured
Art classes
We regularly hold art classes where children try themselves as artists and sculptors. We paint with gouache, sculpt with plasticine, cut, glue and make origami, and more.
This gives our team the chance to spot a child's gifts and guide them.

Exploring the world by themes
Alongside creativity, the children explore the world around them. Each lesson covers a theme: animals, home, family, vegetables, fruits, hygiene and much more.
That makes the classes not only fun, but truly useful for the children's development.

The English language
The children explore the world and create — and they also learn English. In Kenya it is an official language, and knowing it gives a competitive advantage in finding work.
Wanting to give children a better future, we focus our lessons on memorizing and using new English words.

What happens in a class
How the Classes Are Conducted
Each class brings together creativity, knowledge of the world and English — in a warm and supportive atmosphere.

We draw and sculpt
We paint with gouache, sculpt with plasticine, cut, glue and make origami — trying ourselves as real creators.

We explore the world
Each lesson opens a new theme: animals, home, family, vegetables, fruits, hygiene and much more.

We learn English
We memorize and use new English words — a skill that will serve the children for life.

We see progress
At the age of 5–10, children pick up languages especially fast, and after just a few years of the project the progress is clear.
Small steps to a big future
Why it matters
For a child from a poor family, the chance to create and learn is a chance to change their life.
A discovered talent, a knowledge of English and self-belief open doors that would otherwise stay closed. We see children change in just a few years — and we want there to be more and more such stories.

Help us run classes every week
Current need
We run this ministry weekly in two schools — in the Furunzi slums and in the village of Mwangaza.
The budget comes from buying materials: paper, glue, paints, plasticine and other supplies. Every month we need $350 to run the classes.
Any regular support helps us keep the classes going and develop the children further.
The donation opens in a secure Zeffy form. The platform charges the mission no fees.
