Preaching the Gospel in Kenya

This is the ministry where everything began, back in 2013 — and the one our hearts burn for. We carry the Good News from heart to heart: house to house, in villages under the open sky, in churches, and at conferences for ministers.

About the ministry

Where it all began

Preaching the Gospel was one of the first ministries Denis Lapteykin began back in 2013. It is what his heart burns for and where everything else started — because every believer is called to carry the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

It was through preaching the Gospel that the mission's other ministries were born: help for poor families, work in schools, ministry to youth. They all appeared for one purpose — so that people would come to know Christ.

“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2). That is exactly what we do — at every opportunity, in every project, and in every conversation.

The main line

The Gospel runs through every project

Beyond preaching on its own, the Gospel sounds through every one of our projects — it is the main line that everything started for. Feeding the hungry, coming to a school, supporting a family — all of it is a path to a person's very heart.

Our team also serves individually: we visit families on the streets at every opportunity, preach in churches, and inspire local believers to do the same. We want to be speaking sources of His life, burning vessels of Christ.

A real story

Jesus moved in giant strides

All Friday and Saturday we carried the Kingdom of Jesus Christ through Kenyan homes. Every testimony knocked on people's hearts, every drop of God's love changed the way they saw life. People decided to change and gave their lives to Jesus.

After a short break came the second part. Evgeny brought the equipment, set up the speakers, and we held worship under the open sky. Testimonies, preaching, and at the end — prayer for everyone who wanted it.

Some received healing, others freedom from darkness. Jesus shone. And even the fiercest heat could not stop us.

A day in the ministry

Eight kilometers under the scorching sun

We had planned to visit fifteen families, but there turned out to be more. The place was new and far away: the road was rough, and we had to push the bishop's car out with all the men together. The homes stood kilometers apart, up in the hills, with no water or electricity.

Local women walked with us. Two of them carried a baby on their backs and still tried to help carry the food packages. Across fields, up hills, under the blazing sun — and not a word about being tired.

After prayer, a half-blind grandfather's sight was restored, and a young woman who began showing signs of demonic oppression received God's peace and freedom. Many hearts opened to Jesus that day.

Conferences for ministers

Helping pastors and leaders grow

Ministers come to visit us, and we organize pastoral and leadership conferences — for pastors, youth, and families. They all speak of one thing: Christ, and our call to be burning vessels of His life.

Conference in Kibaoni

The main speakers were Pastor Dmitry Kovalinsky and his wife Evgenia. For every “student” we prepared workbooks for notes and reflection. At the end there were so many questions that the ministers would not let our team go, working through real situations between a pastor and the church.

Mwangaza and Garissa

Pastor Dmitry Kovalinsky's visit was a great blessing: four days of leadership conferences — one for the P.E.F.A. church union, the others far out in remote areas. The goal was to reveal the true essence of pastoral ministry and give practical tools for serving people in distant villages.

Why it matters

In Africa, becoming a pastor is a dream for many: the word carries respect, prestige, and prosperity. But behind the word “pastor” stands something else — the care of souls, leadership, and enormous responsibility. The greatest joy is seeing those who drank in every word with shining eyes.

Church planting

This is how churches are born

If you preach actively and people come, churches naturally form. It all begins heart to heart, person to person. Then home groups appear, and finally — a full local church. In our mission we have done this twice.

One of the churches grew on the base of our school in the Furunzi area — out of the circle of our students' parents. At first Evgeny Ageev and I led the meetings, then a pastor from a local church was found. More and more people came, and the congregation itself, with a small contribution from us, built a new church building.

On Sunday the first service was held. We prayed outside the walls of the church, blessed the building, and prophetically declared a new future for the people of this region.
