School Furunzi
Our school in the Furunzi slum area of Malindi, Kenya: more than 250 children study in a safer environment.
Malindi Bring Life Academy
Project Overview
In Furunzi, the school began in extremely difficult conditions. Children studied in old classrooms, sat on dirt floors, and needed daily support. Today it is an active school where children receive education, care, and a safer place to learn.
Over the years, Bring Life Mission has built new classrooms, a kitchen, toilets, water access, school grounds, and continues to develop the academy.
$910 per month helps cover salaries for the school team: 6 teachers and 2 administrative staff members.

How the School Developed
School Story
2017
Dzianis Laptseikin began serving in Furunzi after seeing about 150 children studying in extremely difficult conditions and sitting on dirt floors.
First Steps
The first support included meals, school supplies, clothing, basic care, and regular visits to the children.
First Classrooms
From 2018 to 2020, the first classrooms were built from metal sheets, followed by a stronger building with a concrete floor.
2023
Bring Life Mission built a kitchen, installed a stove, brought water to the school, and began improving the school infrastructure.
Today
In 2024, new classrooms, a teachers’ room with a library, toilets, a fence, a gate, a playground, and improved grounds were completed.
