First Aid Lessons for Parents in Furunzi Slums

A first-aid lesson for parents in Furunzi

This time, Bring Life Mission held another first-aid training session for parents in the slums of Furunzi.

The organizers stress that even the most basic knowledge—such as how to properly treat a wound—is especially important here. Small children often suffer from festering wounds on their hands and feet due to the lack of ordinary antiseptics and practical know-how for using them.

After a brief lecture, participants—mostly mothers—are given kits so they can care for themselves and their children independently when needed. During each visit, the team prepares and distributes hundreds of free first-aid kits, including antiseptics, band-aids, cotton swabs, bandages, ringworm ointment, and other medical supplies.

The women are deeply grateful: what may seem ordinary to the team becomes a real blessing for families in these conditions.
