In Furunzi, the ministry team hosted a festive New Year’s lunch for the students of the school and neighborhood children.
They prepared meat pilaf—a real special treat for the kids, many of whom only get meat a couple of times a year at best.
Juice was also provided for everyone, and some children even received a second serving.
At the same time, the team is preparing for the start of the new school year in Kenya. However, due to heavy rains, the stove’s exhaust pipe has rusted and broken, so it is temporarily out of service.
Specialists will be contacted in the coming days to assess the repair and estimate the costs. The repair can’t be delayed, because daily meals must continue. Updates will be shared as soon as more information becomes available.
